FPV · RF // CUSTOM BUILD
250mm FPV Quadcopter
A 250mm freestyle FPV quadcopter built from the frame up: motors, flight stack, FPV system, and radio link assembled and tuned by hand. Built, flying, and dialed in.
// OVERVIEW
A 250mm freestyle FPV quadcopter built entirely from individual components: frame, motors, flight stack, FPV camera, and radio link all assembled, soldered, and configured by hand. It runs a SoloGood F405 flight stack on a Readytosky frame with RS2205 motors and a Caddx Ratel 2 camera, flown over an ExpressLRS link from a RadioMaster Pocket. The build covered the full process: motor and ESC wiring, flight-controller soldering, Betaflight configuration and PID tuning, and resolving UART/receiver setup. First flight completed successfully, with ongoing tuning for freestyle performance.
// HIGHLIGHTS
- ›Built from scratch: every component (frame, motors, ESC/flight stack, FPV system, and radio) assembled and soldered by hand, not a bind-and-fly kit.
- ›Flight stack & tuning: SoloGood F405 running Betaflight, with PID tuning and rates dialed in for freestyle flight; resolved UART/CRSF receiver configuration.
- ›FPV & control: Caddx Ratel 2 camera over an analog FPV link, controlled via ExpressLRS from a RadioMaster Pocket for low-latency long-range control.
- ›Status: built, maidened, and flying. Actively refining tune.
